Tee - Gap Dress - Target |
Soo... I think I cleaned up pretty well today.
Considering that last night's game night at our friend's/neighbor's house turned into:
(1) a concoction of alcohols,
(2) prank calls to each other (see #1), and
(3) an early morning bedtime (a 3:48 early morning bedtime, to be exact).
And I had a 7 a.m. hair appointment today.
Fortunately, the "beverages" had worn off by the time we did get home, and two hours later, I was up and, at 6 a.m, out of the house. I was very awake and alert, but my tummy didn't know what hit it (was it the Orange Petrone? Nouveau ((was that what it was called??)) or that third drink that I definitely can't remember the name of?)!!
Anyway, other than an unsettled tummy (I'm not much of a drinker...yet still downed three different drinks! Makes sense, huh?), I made it to my appointment on time, stopped at my mom's for a visit, and made it home by noon. After a two-and-a-half hour power nap, I cleaned myself up and wore this outfit to spend an afternoon with my little tootie.
With P and his mommy playing Skee-ball...it was Chuck E. Cheese's that didn't know what hit it!
(By the way, I was well aware of the peek-a-boo stripes that could be seen through the tee, but I was too lazy and it was too hot to consider adding another layer. So, peek-a-boo it was.)
Bon week-end!
You clean up good for a closet lush! (Ok, so secretly I'm just glad I'm not the only one who has 3 drinks and is completely hammered)
ReplyDeleteI would have thought the peek-a-boo stripes were intentional (as it shows off the fact that you can cavalierly turn a dress into a skirt if you damn well want feel like it). You go, girl. Way to rock the stripes and hangover!
Very Nice Look! Love that striped skirt...

I think it is really cute! Your little text about your night had me cracking up!
ReplyDeleteI love that dress (anything stripes really) and I like that you can see through the top as well, gives it some added visual interest ;) Btw, is that dress strapless?.....I can't tell from the pic.
ReplyDeleteLove the look of a long striped skirt (dress)
ReplyDeleteLove this look! You look pretty darn good for having 3 drinks (after 3 drinks, I look awful!)

I am impressed at your 6am wakeup call. I think noon would have been an early rise for me after a funfilled night like that! And you look fresh and bright, too, in your cute outfit. I won't lie...I am kinda jealous right now...but I'll get over it. :P

I absolutely love that skirt on you...You look fabulous! I am not much of a drinker either but when I do have a few cocktails I do not recover even nearly as well as you do :)
ReplyDeleteCan I get a drink before we return to the kiddos? Not kidding! Cute look. I'm now up to 2 more looks thanks to you that I can style my similar dress that I prefer as a skirt. Hope you are enjoying the last leg of summemr.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to hang out and let loose every once in a while - though I don't know how you made it up again by 6am, I'd be falling asleep during the hair appt!
ReplyDeleteThe striped maxi is awesome!
I think the peek-a-boo stripes are cute!
ReplyDeleteOnly once have I stayed out really late and then had to get up early the following (or same!) morning. It was absolutely awful. And years ago. lol
You look fabulous - whatever it is you drank, you recovered very nicely.
ReplyDeletehats off :))) love the whole outfit! ***new follower*** follow back? :))))
ReplyDeleteDidn't even notice the peekaboo stripes until you pointed it out ;)
ReplyDeleteThe last time I drank, I was buzzed and all giddy after 1 drink lol. And it was one of those mixed, girly drinks! Us lightweights will have to stick together :D
Hope you had a great weekend also. Love your look -- that striped skirt is awesome! xo style, she wrote
