Lace Me Up, Baby

Fedora - Target
Dress - INC, Macy's (c. 2006)
Shoes - Guess, Ross (2011)

Yesterday's post was about laces.
Today's post is about lace.

Wow! What consistency she has!

So, anyway.  Where am I going in this outfit?

Everywear.

And for whom am I wearing this outfit?

Everybody.

Everybody, Everywear, that is!

Today's feature is lace.  I've worn this dress before here, so I tried to do something differently for this post.  I tried it as a tunic with jeggings and a "blouse" with shorts.  Sadly, neither of them were likable...so this is what you get!

It's hard to tell, but I "fluffed" this dress over the belt quite significantly in order to create the "mini effect".  It's also difficult to tell that the entire dress is made of lace over a knit-ish-type of "underdress" (that's how I describe it), and it hits about mid-knee.  I was attempting to make it look more like day-wear, which is something that I would not associate with this dress at all.  I was glad to be able to participate today because, sadly, I really don't own anything else with lace.

Wait.  I do own some lace underwear...

(just kidding...I wouldn't scar(e) you guys like that!)

Have a great day and be sure to check out the other stylish ladies at Everybody, Everywear!

  1. Hey, there's no reason you can't own lace underwear. Just, you know...don't post blog photos of it or anything. Unless you want to take your blog in a whole different direction.

Which I wouldn't advise. I kind of like being able to subscribe and I wouldn't be able to then. :)

That dress is AH-MAZING on you! Absolutely incredible and I'm a little jealous. Actually a lot jealous. You look fantastic! I think you did a great job making it work for day time.

  2. I love how you paired the fedora hat with the dress. It definitely made it work for the daytime look you were going for.

And, I am really liking brown and black together!

  3. HELL-o! HOO-ah! This is hot, hot, hot! And I love the hat. Too cute. You look great, as usual. Would you be offended if I told you that I was describing you to my husband the other day as my black twin? I think I've loved everything you've ever worn and can totally picture myself wearing it, is all. Oh, and I think our senses of humor are the same, too :)

  5. I think you did a great job making this daytime. I really want a pair of shoes like that - brown, everyday-ish sandals that are still fabulous.

It actually would have been pretty funny if you wore a totally different outfit and then announced you were wearing lace but it's not visible. Funny to us - probably creepy for you as the weirdos started showing up to your blog. Hee hee!
