Things I Learned From My Closet, Lesson #1

If you're walking prancing around in your closet (or wherever)...

while putting outfits together...

while wearing 4" platform lace-up booties....

Tie! Your! Laces! Up!

My closet taught me this lesson last night:

I was prancing...

Stepping (on my laces)...

Stumbling (trying to regain my balance)...

Falling (a lot faster than I expected)...

Landing (nice and hard)!

Oh, but it gets better...

When I landed, I didn't just hit the floor.  Nooooo....I landed on top of the several other pairs of shoes that I previously pranced around in! (Can you say "ouchie!"  Well, I didn't...I said some other words...)

So, today's lesson is:

 Have a great Monday!

  1. Oh my gosh! So sorry you fell, let alone on a pile of shoes. I got a good chuckle out of your story though. I will make sure to follow this lesson. :)

  2. BAhaha! Not sure if I was supposed to laugh or not. But I did, because I've done this before, and it really is amusing.

    Second lesson: don't buy shoes with laces. Maybe that's just me... {I'm so out of practice that I'm not sure how I'll teach my daughter to tie her shoes when the time comes...}

  3. Hahaha!!! Oh my goodness! That's not good. =) If you have fallen in my closet before yesterday (when I FINALLY cleaned it out!), you'd have fallen on a nice pile of clean clothes. =)

  5. Nothing was broken, but my ego suffered the most scathing. (Geez, I thought I would have been able to at least stop myself from hitting the floor!)
Hopefully, I've finally learned my lesson.
